Ops Playbook
Operations is designing the way work gets done so the business hits its goal, whether that goal is speed, cost, or flawless service. This is the loop I run every time.
Start with the processes you repeat most. In real estate that's listings and buyers. Define the primary goal (it wins every tie), then bring in everyone who does the work or feels its effects. Their input makes the system better and the rollout easier.
Systems are people, tools, and processes. Write the process first as a checklist, then pick tools that fit the people using them. Admins love spreadsheets. Salespeople don't, so I design around that.
Start using it and watch for friction and ambiguity. A good system removes decisions. Train on the what and the why; people execute better when they understand the purpose.
To scale, hand off running the system and keep ownership through reporting. That frees you to build the next one.
Find where the most time or money goes, or what frustrates you every week. If nothing jumps out, it's time to grow: sales, marketing, recruiting. The job is never done.
Tell me what's breaking and I'll tell you where I'd start.
